Mennen Cup

The famous Mennen Cup is competed for on an annual basis at the end of the regular League season. The top six teams in the Mennen Division are seeded 1 to 6, the preliminary round matching the 4th and 5th seeds and the 3rd and 6th seeds.  The 4 v 5 winner plays the top seed and the second seed hosts the 3 v 6 winner.    

Below is the Mennen Cup Bracket for the 2024 Mennen Cup Tournanent.  The dates are subject to adjustment based on the weather cancellations in the next few weeks.

Mission

The MCSSIHL promotes the interests of ice hockey on the secondary school level to the point that this activity shall be an integral part of the overall educational program. Vital to the league's mission are the ideals of good sportsmanship, quality ice hockey, and sound ethics in the cultivation of character.

Organization

The MCSSIHL is organized into four divisions; Mennen, Halvorsen, Haas and Charette, with divisional play culminating in an annual Cup Tournaments at the conclusion of the regular season.  All player eligibility and rules of play are conducted according to New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association approved regulations.

Facilities

MCSSIHL games are played at Mennen Arena in Morristown, New Jersey and Skylands Arena in Stockholm, New Jersey.

About Us

The Morris County Secondary Schools Ice Hockey League (MCSSIHL) is in its 50th year of operation.  The league comprises twenty-one teams representing thirty-one schools from Morris, Sussex, Warren and Somerset Counties.
